Overview
MT is an SSH and Mosh terminal client for iOS. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
Data Collection
- No analytics or tracking services are used.
- No data is sent to our servers or any third-party services.
- No advertising SDKs are included.
Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
Connection Profiles
Server hostnames, ports, usernames, and display preferences.
SSH Credentials
Passwords and private keys stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by the Secure Enclave.
Known Hosts
SSH host key fingerprints for server verification.
App Preferences
Theme, font, gesture, and input settings.
Diagnostic Logs
Connection events and crash reports stored locally for troubleshooting. You can export or delete these from Settings.
None of this data leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.
Network Communication
MT connects directly to servers you configure using SSH (TCP) and Mosh (UDP) protocols. All communication is end-to-end encrypted. No proxy or relay servers are involved.
iCloud Sync
When you enable iCloud Sync (off by default), the following data is synced across your Apple devices:
Profile Settings
Connection profiles (hostnames, ports, usernames, display preferences) sync via Apple CloudKit.
Encrypted Credentials
SSH keys and passwords sync via iCloud Keychain with end-to-end encryption. Not even Apple can decrypt this data.
iCloud Sync is entirely optional. When disabled, no data leaves your device. Deleted profiles enter a 30-day soft-delete period before permanent removal.
Third-Party Services
This app uses the following services:
Apple StoreKit 2 (In-App Purchase)
Processes one-time purchase receipts via Apple's App Store infrastructure. No personal data is collected. All transaction data is managed by Apple.
Push Notification Relay (Optional)
When you enable push notifications, an APNs device token and device secret are sent to our Cloudflare Worker relay for notification delivery. No terminal session data, commands, or output is transmitted. Devices are automatically removed after 30 days of inactivity.
No analytics, advertising, or data collection services are used.
Encryption & Export Compliance
MT uses standard encryption protocols for secure communication:
- SSH: AES-256-CTR, ChaCha20-Poly1305, and other standard ciphers
- Mosh: AES-128-OCB (authenticated encryption)
- iCloud Keychain: End-to-end encryption (Apple standard)
This app is classified under ECCN 5D002 and is self-classified under the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) as mass market encryption software.
Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
